When you think of December, you think of a month that’s filled to the brim with shopping, endless errands, parties, cooking and a million other things in between. It’s easy to start snacking mindlessly when you’re being pulled in so many different directions. Here are my tips to enjoy the holidays without eater's remorse:
Tip 1: Less can be more: Don’t skip meals! It may seem like a great idea in theory but skipping meals can cause you to overindulge later on. Eat regularly and be mindful of serving sizes.
Tip 2: If you don’t love it, leave it alone: Curiosity can get the best of you when it comes to food, especially during the holidays. Make it a rule not to try anything unless it’s something that you think you are really going to love.
Tip 3: Start off smart: Most holiday parties and gatherings will have fruit and vegetables as an appetizer and it’s likely that it’ll be the healthiest and smartest option to start off with. This way you won’t overload on too much junk later on and you’ll be getting some nutrients to balance anything not so healthy.
